From Mont-Mont

I got the kitchen sink of golden nuggets by Mama T.

You put your foot all up in this book.

Thanks, Mom, again.

From Deborah

We first met each other seven or eight years ago. You are the mother of my daughter’s best friend. You flew from Portland, Oregon to Cincinnati, Ohio to support your daughter and my daughter’s vocal performance. You were indeed a welcome guest in our home, as we shared a meal and fellowship.

But after those few days in Ohio had expired, you traveled over 2,300 miles back to your home, and we lost touch!

On November 19, 2020, we met again at the home of our beautiful daughters in Ellenwood, Georgia. I will never forget you brought me two lovely gifts, and all I had brought for you was a few bagels and cream cheese!

You had a special plaque made for me with my first name, ‘Deborah’ on it, as the plaque gave the meaning of my birth name, but from a biblical perspective. This lovely gift was such a surprise and an encouragement to me, listing strengths and accomplishments, and who I am in Christ.

First, as a child of the Most High, I am reminded of my POSITION in Him and the reality of my value and worth – what I truly mean to my Savior Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:9).

Secondly, the POWER I receive through the Holy Spirit and His Word, to be a light in the darkness, and an overcomer of anything and everything that does not reflect His character is indeed notable (Matthew 28:18; Philippians 4:13).

Third, my faith-based PERFORMANCE to accomplish whatever tasks my great God has for me to do for others – through a daily, moment by moment, renewed transformation of my mind (2 Corinthians 10:5; Romans 12:2).

Fourthly, the divine PRESENCE of God, in my waking and sleeping hours of each new day and night. Though I am flawed, often weak and undisciplined, He never leaves me (Joshua 1:9)!

Reader, you owe it to yourself to read Mama T’s book, 2 Trees, 1 Choice, but if you haven’t read her previous book, Do You See What I See?, please do. God’s words will inspire your choice and life from reading 2 Trees, 1 Choice.

I ask God’s continued blessings on you, Mama T, as you continue to write and blessings on those who read this book, 2 Trees, 1 Choice. I love you dearly and thoroughly enjoyed the few days we spent together! May we never lose touch again.

From Jerri

I was so excited to edit and to be one of the first readers of the very innovative, thought-provoking book, 2 Trees, 1 Choice.

As I carefully read this book for meaning, context, and flow, I read not as an editor but as a reader looking for meaning and understanding. As I read, God kept taking me back to Genesis 4:7, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.’ These words are directly from God. He is telling us even today that sin has power, but we can rule over it in Jesus’ Name by the power of our thoughts and choices. Mama T has laid out a clear, concise, and detailed work on the power of our thoughts so that we will be able to rule over them.
